First and foremost, thank you for stopping by — and welcome! This is a place for all cake lovers out there, or for anyone who simply enjoys looking at cake photos (please tell me I’m not the only one 😅).
I know you’re probably eager to start exploring, so I’ll keep this short. I guess you could call me a bit of a cake design geek. My love for baking cakes began about seven years ago and has since grown into one of my most rewarding hobbies. #11 Chocolate, Orange and Mulled wine
Happy birthday, Dad! 🎉
This cake was made for my dad’s celebration dinner, and with Christmas just around the corner I couldn’t resist leaning into some festive, Christmassy flavours. It features four chocolate sponges layered with either mulled wine ganache or orange mousse with an orange curd insert, plus milk chocolate ganache sitting on top of a thin layer of crunchy sugar-almond praline. It's all covered in mulled wine-infused buttercream.
To finish it off: chocolate drips, a few handmade crêpe paper roses and wafer paper flowers, macarons, wool balls, sugar-coated berries, dried eucalyptus and baby’s breath, dried orange slices — and lots of buttercream, sprinkles, and shimmer ❤️
